*LRC is currently looking for community outreach liaisons. Are you active in other nonprofit organizations or queer-affiliated groups? If so, would you be willing to provide a brief update to our Community Outreach coordinator at least once quarterly on activities or events that may be of interest to LRC? This will help us to work more collaboratively with other organizations in the area, as well as to support and celebrate all of the work being done across our community. House Party Host
Having a party? Make it a fundraiser for LRC.

These are current projects that have been identified by the LRC leadership group. If you would like to organize a specific event or workshop, please feel free to contact us with your idea.

Direct Mail Fundraiser Coordinator
Organize volunteers to prepare direct mail fundraiser; prepare materials for direct mailing; coordinate sending thank yous with bookkeeper.

Web Content Development Coordinator
Organize volunteers to collect and develop content for new LRC website. Forward to webmistress.

Web Content Authors
Collate and/or draft website resource pages for one or more topic areas of interest to LGBTQ women including but not limited to: legal issues, spirituality, aging, gender identity, various health issues, etc.

House Party Kit Developer
Develop a resource kit for individuals who want to host a house party fundraiser for LRC.

Health Fair
Plan and organize a lesbian and bisexual women's health fair in partnership with other local organizations

Movie Night Coordinator (5 hours per month)
Choose quarterly themes for movies (e.g., three movies that explore gender roles in women's same-sex relationships); plan logistics for movie showings (e.g., schedule, location, make popcorn); facilitate movie showings and group discussion following third movie (e.g., welcoming attendees)

Information and referral (2-3 hours per week)
Check and respond to LRC e-mail either using the FAQ or by forwarding to the appropriate organizational contact; forward questions or FYIs to Board as needed. Develop and maintain client request database to track number and types of requests for information.

Grantwriter (5 hours per month)
Prepare grant applications for LRC; collaborate with Grant Coordinator.

Tax accountant (2-3 days per year)
Assist LRC in preparing annual tax reporting forms and identification of necessary record keeping. Familiarity with Quickbooks a plus.

Mailing List (1-2 hours per month)
Update and maintain LRC mailing list.

LRC Newsletter (1-2 hours per month)
Prepare and update LRC newsletter template; coordinate collection and writing of twice annual LRC newsletter; organize volunteers to prepare mailing; collaborate with Publicity Coordinator as needed.

Publicity Coordinator (1-2 hours per week)
Oversee that LRC is making the most of our publicity; brainstorm additional publicity opportunities; advertise upcoming events and activities; create templates for flyers, posters, and brochures; update LRC brochure.

Volunteer & Internship Coordinator (1-2 hours per week)
Coordinate quarterly volunteer orientations; welcome new volunteers; provide support to volunteers (e.g., answer questions); provide support as needed to project volunteers with recruiting other volunteers.
